Centro Escolar University filled the air with the Christmas vibes through performances of carols rendered by the CEU Singers Manila, CEIS Singers and the CEU Dramatic Guild in the 9th Escolarian Lessons and Carols with the theme “The Joyous News of Christmas: A Christmas Cantata” at the CEU Student Activity Center in CEU Manila.
The choral group set the mood of the occasion by singing Kumukuti-Kutitap followed by other Christmas songs with prayers rendered in between, led by selected University officers and students. Professor Angelito Ayran, Jr., Head of the CEU Music program was also the choir conductor with Prof. Benjamin Reyes and Prof. Victor Victorino as organists, and Prof. Von Ryan Yu as narrator.
Members of the choir, Shrael Joshua Sanchez, Ma. Jeraldine Gorospe, Renz Jerson Cuevas, Camille Castro, and Christel Angelique Alvarado rendered solo performances.
