Admission Guidelines for School Year 2024-2025

 

Greetings to Prospective/Returning Students of CEUSLJ and Transferees: 

 

       We hope that in the gradual return to normal conditions post pandemic, your families are healthy and safe as we all look forward to the fulfillment of your dream of becoming lawyers. There is, after all, a bright future in the law profession that you can look forward to.

 

       We are happy to announce this early that the CEU School of Law and Jurisprudence (CEU-SLJ) is now accepting applicants for freshmen for School Year 2024-2025 as well as returning students and transferees.

 

         QUALIFICATIONS: CEU-SLJ accepts applicants who are holders of any Bachelor’s degree regardless of age, gender or religion. 

 

          ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS: Application to the CEU-SLJ is free of charge. In lieu of a written examination, freshmen applicants are required to submit a typewritten essay of at least 300 to 350 words, more or less, on ANY of these topics: 

(a) What motivated you to take up law; 

(b) What are your traits that make you believe will make you a good lawyer;

(c) Who is your role model and why; 

(d) What are your expectations in studying law at CEU-SLJ; and, 

(e) An important lesson learned or a realization during the pandemic.

 

In addition to the essay, applicants are also required to submit the following documents: 

 

FIRST YEAR APPLICANTS: 

  1. Honorable Dismissal or Transfer Credentials (ORIGINAL), from last school attended;
  2. Transcript of Records (TOR), (ORIGINAL) with S.O. number, with remarks “For further studies,” or Certificate of Graduation (if TOR is not yet available);
  3. Certificate of Good Moral Character (ORIGINAL), from last school attended, and from the company or Community/Barangay.
  4. Birth Certificate (ORIGINAL), PSA Certified;
  5. Four (4) pcs. ID pictures 1½” x 1½” with blue background. 

 

TRANSFER STUDENTS

  1. Honorable Dismissal or Transfer Credentials (ORIGINAL), from last school attended;
  2. Transcript of Records (TOR), (ORIGINAL), with S.O. number, with remarks “For further studies,” or COPY OF GRADES from the Dean’s Office of previous LEI, if TOR is not yet available;
  3. Certificate of Good Moral Character (ORIGINAL), from last school attended, and from the company or Community/Barangay. 
  4. Birth Certificate (ORIGINAL), PSA Certified; 
  5. Four (4) pcs. ID pictures 1½” x 1½” with blue background;
  6. Certificate of Eligibility for Admission Into the Law Course (ORIGINAL), from the previous law school.

 

REFRESHER/REVIEWEE/AUDIT APPLICANTS

  1. Transcript of Records from former law school, photocopy;
  2. Four (4) pcs. ID pictures 1½” x 1½” with blue background;
  3. Birth Certificate, photocopy, PSA Certified.

 

For the time being, the CEU-SLJ will accept scanned versions of these documents, with the originals to be submitted last week of September 2024.

Scanned copies of the documents as well as the essay should be submitted via email at [email protected] with the subject “Law School Application.”

After submission of these requirements, applicants will be scheduled for interview by the Dean or Associate Dean or any designated senior faculty member.

Online applications may be submitted as early as now up to February 2024. Schedule of enrollment will be announced at a later date.

 

Mode of instruction: Face-to-face classes. 

 

Scholarships for deserving students: 100% discount on tuition and miscellaneous fee for summa cum laude, 75% discount on tuition and miscellaneous fees for magna cum laude, and 50% discount on tuition and miscellaneous fees for cum laude. Scholarships may also be granted to especially gifted students without Latin honors.
