CEU Pep Squad performs at the Sportsfest 2019 Opening Ceremonies
After two years since the pandemic came, the much anticipated Sportsfest of Centro Escolar University is finally back and will hold its Opening Ceremonies on March 4, 2023, Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 nn at the CEU North Quadrangle.
As what the CEU Sportsfest 2023 theme says, “One Goal, One Dream, One Team”, the Escolarian athletes will again unite as one to play and showcase their skills on different sports competitions and develop their physical, mental, and social capabilities.
The annual Mr. and Ms. Sportsfest and dance competition will be the highlight of the opening ceremonies. Student athletes representing their respective Schools will compete on volleyball, basketball, table tennis, and e-sports within the month of March, in time for the closing ceremonies on March 27, 2023.
The University Sportsfest plays a vital role in the overall development of the students, especially their physical health and fitness, while also promoting teamwork and leadership skills among them. Participating in sports will help them develop strength, endurance, and agility. It also intensifies the school and community spirit among the students, faculty and staff.
This year, the School of Dentistry is the Overall Chair of the Sportsfest led by Dr. Jim Fernandez, Assistant to the Dean, Student Affairs, School of Dentistry and Dr. Mary Iodine Lacanienta, Dean, School of Dentistry, with Dr. Carlito Olaer, Vice President for Student Affairs as Consultant.
