All CEU Campuses Granted CHED Autonomous Status

Centro Escolar University’s Manila, Makati and Malolos campuses have been granted the Autonomous Status by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) along with other private higher education institutions (PHEIs) in the Philippines as listed in the CHED Memorandum Order No. 12, Series of 2019.

This milestone attests to the University’s continued dedication to work for excellence, in the spirit of providing premium education to its students. Anchored to this significant achievement are other certifications given to CEU such as the CHED Center of Excellence in Teacher Education, and CHED Center of Development for Optometry and Business Education.

The University also takes pride in its Dentistry, Pharmacy, Biology, Business Administration, International Hospitality Management, International Tourism and Travel Management, Nursing, Nutrition and Dietetics, Optometry, and Psychology programs which are all ASEAN University Network Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) certified. A good number of its programs are also accredited with the Highest Level of Accreditation, Level IV, by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA) as certified by the Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP) including Biology, Psychology, Pharmacy, Business Administration, Dentistry, Optometry, Nutrition and Dietetics, Liberal Arts (Communication and Media and Political Science), Education and Medical Technology.

It was in 2001 when the University received its first Autonomous Status for Manila and Malolos campuses.
