Senior Justice Josue N. Belosillo, Dean of the Centro Escolar University School of Law and Jurisprudence was recognized as the 2016 University of the Philippines Alumni Association (UPAA) distinguished alumnus at the Bahay ng Alumni, UP Diliman, Quezon City last June 25, 2016.
The award represents his act of “personifying the anima of the judiciary, nourished in its ideals, triumphing in its successes, and empathizing with its frustrations; and for receiving the degree of Doctor of Laws, honoris causa, from two universities for his contribution to law and jurisprudence”.
The President of the University of the Philippines, Alfredo Pascual together with UPAA President Ramon Maronilla presented the award.
Dean Belosillo has authored law books such as “Effective Pre-Trial Technique,” that now serves as benchbook of trial judges and justices.
