Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) Major in Mathematics is a four-year program that aims at preparing students to become internationally competitive licensed mathematics teachers. It provides students with numerous possibilities to improve their Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK) in mathematics. The program combines aspects of mathematics foundation with an understanding of the nature of mathematics, language in mathematics education, effective aspects of mathematics learning, technology in mathematics education, mathematical problem solving, mathematical learning assessment, foundation, theories, and principles of teaching to develop secondary mathematics teachers equipped with content and pedagogy. Through field study courses and student teaching experiential learning, it also prepares graduates for real-world work environments. The graduates of the BS Math Ed program  possess a solid understanding of mathematics and are competent to teach for junior or senior high school. The BS Math Ed program envisioned to serve as a global resource of innovative mathematics teachers equipped with excellent skills in content, pedagogy, research and extension to earn national recognition as a premier Teacher Education Institution (TEI) in the field of mathematics education. The program culminates with an extensive teaching internship in various cooperating schools and institutions, both public and private, under the mentorship of highly experienced professional teachers.
