Nature of the Program: | Consists of core courses and professional courses which have relevant application in the pharmacy profession and professional courses that will help prepare the graduates in acquiring competencies necessary in the chosen workplace. The internship program is to be taken in the last year that involves assigning students to different CHED accredited affiliation establishments covering a minimum of 1,200 hours. |
Program Objectives: | The program aims to produce versatile graduates who can portray professional pharmacist, pharmaceutical care provider, researcher, manager and entrepreneur, and educator. |
Specific Professions/ Careers/ Occupations for Graduates: | The graduates of BSP program may pursue a career in any of the following areas of pharmacy practice in the: a. pharmaceutical manufacturing company in the production, planning and inventory control, quality assurance, research and drug development, sales and marketing and regulatory affairs; b. academe; c. hospital as hospital pharmacy department staff , chief pharmacist and as clinical pharmacist; d. community pharmacy or drugstore as owner or employees; e. cosmetics industry; f. veterinary industry; g. clinical research; h. government service; i. health publications; and j. institutional pharmacy. |
