Musical performance is one of the foundations the CEU Conservatory of Music has been built on since it was first established. The quality is ensured by 21 professorial lecturers and permanently employed music professors, and there is a comprehensive and diverse range of additional course offerings. All students at CEU Conservatory of Music enter with a principal instrument.
The Performance program is offered in ten areas: Strings, Woodwinds, Brasswind, Percussion, Piano, Guitar, Organ, Voice, Choral Conducting and Musical Theater, an extensive training in Western classical tradition. Performance majors combine performance studies with courses in theory, history, literature, pedagogy, and related music studies. Each student is assigned to a teacher with whom they study individually during their degree program.
