Centro Escolar University honored the life and legacy of Sofia Reyes De Veyra on September 30, 2026, marking the 150th anniversary of her birth and remembering her significant contributions to education and to the University.
A Wreath-Laying Ceremony was held in her honor, led by Atty. Danilo L. Concepcion, President and Chief Academic Officer of the University, and Ms. Carminda R. Arevalo, Executive Director of the National Historical Commission of the Philippines. A Thanksgiving Mass, celebrated by Fr. Felix Jeen Kattassery Antony, formed part of the commemoration.
The occasion reflected CEU's enduring appreciation for Sofia De Veyra's legacy and the contributions she made to the University's continuing pursuit of excellence in education.
