CEU Alumni Earn 30th SEA Games Medals

Centro Escolar University’s alumni Janine Pontejos and Roy Aldous Arayata brought the country pride after winning in their respective sports event in the 30th Southeast Asian Games.

Janine, as part of the Gilas Pilipinas won the Philippine’s first ever gold medal in the Women’s 5x5 Basketball tournament after clinching the victory against Thailand, finishing off with a score of 97-71. She also represented the country in the 3x3 match where the team won their initial gold. In 2016, she graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Business Management.

Another Escolarian ace, Roy Aldous dived for victory in the underwater hockey and grabbed silver medal for the 4x4 event and bronze for the 6x6. He obtained his degree in Bachelor of Science in Chemistry in 1998.
