Centro Escolar University Marketing Communications Department, in partnership with the Guidance and Counseling Department, successfully hosted a hybrid seminar-workshop for guidance counselors from junior and senior high schools titled, “Recalibrating the Mental Health and Well-Being Initiatives in Basic Education,” at the Bulwagang Maestra Osang.
The event gathered 100 onsite participants and 107 online attendees, creating a dynamic platform for collaboration and professional exchange among guidance and counseling practitioners.
The session was led by Dr. Lucila Bance, former Director of the Counseling and Career Center and Professor at the Graduate School Department of University of Santo Tomas. As resource speaker, Dr. Bance delivered an insightful and engaging discussion that highlighted innovative approaches and practical strategies to strengthen mental health programs in basic education institutions.
Organized by the CEU Marketing Communications Department under the leadership of Dr. Ma. Eleanor C. Espinas, Department Head, and Ms. Jhorizza M. Palma, Public Relations and Events Marketing Assistant, the seminar-workshop was held in close collaboration with the CEU Guidance and Counseling Department, headed by Dr. Juana Rosa Martinez.
