Centro Escolar University welcomed junior high school students to a Leadership Bootcamp designed to nurture leadership skills, build confidence, and encourage meaningful collaboration among young learners.
The participants, together with their faculty advisers, represented both public and private junior high schools from the National Capital Region, Region III, and Region IV.
The highlight of the program was an inspiring talk by Mr. Ivan Borlongan, a Business Administration alumnus of CEU and currently the Assistant Vice President of Security Bank Corporation. In his session, Mr. Borlongan discussed key topics including unlocking one’s potential as a leader, the competencies and character expected of today’s leaders, and the challenges and opportunities faced by the present generation. His talk encouraged students to recognize their strengths and take an active role in shaping their future.
Following the lecture, the participants engaged in an interactive workshop facilitated by the officers of the CEU Manila Student Council. Through a series of fun yet purposeful activities, the students had the opportunity to exchange ideas, express their perspectives, and build friendships with fellow participants while strengthening teamwork and communication skills.
The event concluded with a campus tour, where the students were grouped into clusters and guided around the university grounds, allowing them to experience the vibrant academic environment of CEU.
The Leadership Bootcamp was spearheaded by the CEU Marketing Communications Department, led by its Head, Dr. Ma. Eleanor C. Espinas with Ms. Jhorizza M. Palma, as Overall Event Chair.
