Centro Escolar University awakened the Escolarian spirit through the Pep Rally held recently at the CEU North Quadrangle as an official send-off to CEU athletes who are going to compete in upcoming sports league.
The CEU Scorpions team for basketball, volleyball, futsal, table tennis, taekwondo, swimming, and badminton both for men and women, as well as the CEU Pep Squad will again represent the University in the Men’s National Collegiate Athletic Association (MNCAA), Women National Collegiate Athletic Association (WNCAA), National Capital Region Athletic Association (NCRAA), and PBA D-League.
“Choose CEU to be your training ground for your career after college. Choose CEU to be your coach that will guide you to be a better version of yourselves. Choose CEU to be your guide in your future. Always choose CEU,” said Ms. Aby Maraño, a Filipino professional volleyball player for F2 Logistics Cargo Movers in the Philippine Super Liga and a former De La Salle University Lady Spikers team captain.
She shared the importance of balancing the academics with extracurricular activities and emphasized how discipline takes a huge part in an athlete’s success. She also revealed that CEU is very close to her heart because an Escolarian taught her how to play volleyball.
With pride and high hopes for another productive season, CEU President Dr. Ma. Cristina Padolina also expressed her support to the varsity players by recognizing their efforts in giving pride to the University in the previous sports season.
