Exemplifying Escolarian excellence, Centro Escolar University student Zakarya Abdulhadi Ali Al-Salahi was awarded this year’s Most Outstanding International Student in the Philippines by the Philippine International Friendship and Understanding Association, Inc. (PIFUA) at CEU Manila.

Zakarya, a computer engineering student of the School of Science and Technology was one of the three outstanding international students in the country.

Winning the title as the Mr. Ambassador, a contest intended just for foreign students, organized by the International Students Association (ISA), served as a stepping stone for him to be a PIFUA finalist. The search consisted of two parts, the written examination and talent portion.

“With just enough confidence and the support of my advisor and ISA officers, I’ve made it”, Zakarya said.

With the PIFUA officers, board members, advisers and international students from different schools and universities from Luzon to Mindanao, the recognition program for the nationwide search was held at CEU Manila.
