With the theme, “Creating Stepping Stones Together”, Centro Escolar University-School of Accountancy and Management (CEU-SAM) celebrated its Korean-inspired 90th Anniversary during their annual SAM Days and Sam Night last February 2-3, 2018 at CEU Manila.
“So with the festivities today, we made it very clear that being together, bonding together, working together, are the ingredients to success in the future, but most importantly if we work together, and willingly work together,” said CEU-SAM Dean, Professor Melito S. Salazar, Jr. during his remarks in the anniversary’s opening ceremony.
Student organizations under SAM, such as the CEU Marketing Society (CEMARS), Management Students Association (MASA), Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (JPIA), and Junior Financial Executives of the Philippines (JFINEX) were dressed in different colors to represent their group. Each organization marched and cheered with pride as the participants ready for the activities lined up for the coming days. Group games patterned in Korean’s popular game-variety show, “Running Man” tested the students’ physical strength, capabilities and sportsmanship.
The Korean invasion continued with a free film viewing of short films which are reenactment of various popular Korean dramas translated in Filipino.
Since its establishment in 1928, the CEU-SAM does not only provide its students the academic knowledge but also provide them extra-curricular activities that develop and improve their talents and skills.
