CEU Battle of the Bottles' Champion Pays Tribute to SAF 44

Centro Escolar University-Association of Hotel and Restaurant Management Students (CEU-AHRMS) hailed AHRMS2C as its new champion for the 2017 Battle of the Bottles: Battle for Supremacy, with their recent performance as tribute to the Special Action Force (SAF) “Fallen 44” troopers at the North Quadrangle in CEU Manila.

Fierce looks with camouflage gears intensified the winning performance of AHRMS2C for the Group Demonstration category. The group’s dance number was thrilled with flare tending skills and tricks. Aside from playing the bottles and lifting them through the air, it is the story within their piece that made the performance impactful. The end of the whole act heightened the audience’s excitement as they threw butterflies and a dove to signify the lone survivor of the historical clash in Mindanao.

Other groups also gave outstanding performances. The AHRMS2B got the 2nd place for their 1978 Grease movie-themed dance, while the AHRMS2C who rendered an entertaining act accompanied with Beyonce’s greatest hits bagged the 3rd place.

Last year’s champion, BSHRM3A also performed their winning piece.

This annual event is an activity initiated by the Association of Hotel and Restaurant Management Students (AHRMS), an organization under the School of Nutrition and Hospitality Management, under the supervision of Dr. Cecilia C. Uncad.
