Centro Escolar University-School of Accountancy and Management (SAM) and the Professional and Continuing Education (PACE) in coordination with Centro Escolar Las Piñas (CELP) is set to hold training on Basic Bookkeeping for Entrepreneurs on March 14, 2017 at the Audio-Visual Room in CELP campus.
With the title, “Your Books Define Your Business: Basic Bookkeeping for Entrepreneurs”, the training-seminar was designed for starting entrepreneurs to understand and apply basic accounting as it applies to the keeping or maintenance of accounting records. It also aims to explain the basic purpose of accounting, which is to provide quantitative financial information about the economic activities of the business to be useful in making economic decisions and discuss the concept of the accounting equation, like debits and credits.
Topics on The Relationship of Business and Accounting, Financial Statements, Elements of Accounting, Trial Balance, Adjusting Entries, Worksheet and Financial Statement, Closing and Reversing Entries, and Merchandising Business compose the training content.
Professor Danilo D. Reyes, Acting Program Head of the CEU School of Accountancy and Management will be the speaker on the said training. He was a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Major in Accounting in the University of the Philippines, Diliman and also got his Masters in Business Administration Major in Finance and Investments in George Washinton University, USA. He was the former Dean of the Institute of Commerce in San Sebastian College-Recoletos, former Consultant in the Office of the SVP for Finance and Chief Financial Officer of San Miguel Corporation, former Chair and Faculty Member of Business Administration Department in Miriam College, former Faculty Member in Philippine School of Business Administration.
