Two Escolarians bagged the highest awards in a Poster Making Contest spearheaded by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) during an Educational Seminar held last November 23, 2016 at the Librada Avelino Auditorium at CEU-Manila.
Renard S. Bugash, a Computer Science student ranked 1st place, while Rochelle Jastillana, a Medical Technology student placed 3rd.
The competition was one of the FDA’s activities to celebrate the 2016 National Consciousness Week against Counterfeit Medicines with the theme, “Palawakin ang Kamalayan, Pekeng Gamot Pigilan”.
Resource persons from the World Health Organization, Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, Philippine Center for Transnational Crimes, Philippine Chamber of Pharmaceutical Industry, Inc., Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Association of the Philippines, and Drugstores Association of the Philippines delivered short talks on the theme.
The seminar was made possible with the collaboration of the CEU School of Pharmacy, headed by its Dean, Dr. Cecilia Santiago, and the FDA.
