CEU School of Pharmacy Conducts CPD 2016

Centro Escolar University-School of Pharmacy, in partnership with the Pharmacy Alumni Association, held the 2016 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) last October 15, 2016 at the Librada Avelino Auditorium in CEU Manila.

With the theme, “Synergy of Character and Competence among Escolarian Pharmacists”, CPD 2016 was attended by CEU faculty members, as well as CEU and Non-CEU pharmacists.

Lectures on relevant topics were discussed by several speakers who are experts in their field. Dr. Francisco P. Tranquilino, Special Assistant to the Dean and College Secretary of UP College of Medicine tackled A.O 2015-0053, Implementing Guidelines on the Promotion and Marketing of Prescription Pharmaceutical Products and Medical Devices (Mexico City and Kuala Lumpur Principles). 

CEU Makati’s Vice-President, Dr. Olivia M. Limuaco talked about Republic Act 10918 also known as “Philippine Pharmacy Act and Updating on its Implementing Rules and Regulations”. Dr. Cecilia Jimeno, Chair of the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology-College of Medicine in the University of the Philippines, discussed the last topic which was “Drug Prescribing in Chronic Illnesses”.

The CPD aims to continuously educate Pharmacy alumni in the latest developments in the practice, thus providing them a broader understanding of their profession and the industry.
