Centro Escolar University professor in Mass Communication, Mr. Valentino Nool, Jr.’s short film entry at the Cine Republica 2016 titled “Si Mario at ang Milagrosong Bato” bagged the Best in Cinematography Award last January 22.
The short film was cinematographed by Professor Nool himself and was directed by Benj Ramos from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. It was also nominated for Best Direction and Best Production Design as it stars one of CEU Mass Communication students, Allisa Mae Dablo.
Along with other short films, “Si Mario at ang Milagrosong Bato” was also shown during the Cinemalaya 2016’s 28th Gawad Alternatibo last August 9.
Aside from being a faculty member of the CEU-School of Education, Liberal Arts, Music and Social Work (SELAMS), Mr. Nool also works as Deputy for Multimedia of the Rising Tide Mobile Entertainment.
