Centro Escolar Las Piñas in coordination with the Professional and Continuing Education (PACE) is set to conduct training on Authentic Assessment of Effective Learning Appraisal in the K to 12 Program on February 17, 2017 at the Audio-Visual Room in Centro Escolar Las Piñas.
The training-seminar will focus on the Assessment FOR, AS and OF Learning, Outcomes-Based Assessment, Test construction and Critical Thinking, and Workshop Presentation and Critiquing.
Authentic Assessment is considered one of the tools to determine how students apply their knowledge in the real world of work, thus, this seminar intends to explain its advantages and disadvantages, cite its basic elements, elaborate its features, compare and contrast it to traditional, give its different types, and prepare rubrics.
Dr. Brenda B. Corpuz, the Philippine Association for Teacher Education (PAFTE) National President, will be the speaker on the said training. She was a former Board Member for Professional Teachers of Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), former Member of Technical Panel for Teacher Education in January 2012, former Dean of the Graduate School for University for the Cordilleras and College of Education of
St. Louis University. She was also the lead author of six textbooks and has written three manuals on Professional Education and a national lecturer in various topics in education for varied types of audiences.
