Centro Escolar University will hold its second International Conference of Health Professionals (ICHP) on October 10-11, 2017 at the Fiesta Pavilion, The Manila Hotel.
Centering on its theme, “Optimizing the Health Professions in Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals: Beyond Good Health and Well-Being,” the conference aims to promote health and well-being as part of the 2017 Global Goals which include the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The SDG aspires to ensure health and well-being for all, including a bold commitment to end preventable deaths of newborns and children below five years of age and end the epidemic of AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria and other communicable diseases by 2030. It also intends to achieve universal health coverage and universal access to sexual and reproductive healthcare services.
The two-day event will include plenary sessions with topics on Understanding the Dynamics Between Health and Development, Building Responsive and Resilient Health Systems and Creating Alliances for Health to be discussed by prominent local and foreign speakers who are experts in their respective fields.
The international conference headed by its overall chair, Dr. Teresita Barcelo, Dean of CEU Graduate School, is also in fulfillment of the University’s mission of advocating better health and wellness for the society.
