Centro Escolar University–Makati bagged the championship title for this year’s Sportsfest during the closing ceremony at the CEU Librada Avelino Auditorium (LAH) last August 31, 2016.
With a total of 50 points, CEU Makati called the Pink Panthers dominated the four competing teams. Yellow Cubs, which is a merge of the School of Acountancy and Management, School of Education, Liberal Arts, Music and Social Work, and the College of Optometry ranked 2nd with 49 points followed by the Red Dragons composed of the School of Dentistry and School of Nursing, with 46 points. Blue Wolves team which was composed of School of Medical Technology and School of Pharmacy was declared 4th gaining 43 points, and the Green Stallions which was a combination of School of Science and Technology and School of Nutrition and Hospitality Management placed 5th with 37 points.
The top five teams received trophies and banners while the victors from both major and minor events were awarded with medals.
Dr. Cecilia Santiago, Dean of School of Pharmacy extended her sincerest thanks to all the people who helped her in making the event successful as she finally turned over the Sportsfest chairmanship to the School of Science and Technology.
In acceptance of the Sportsfest chairmanship, Dean Julieta Z. Dungca, asked everyone’s support as the School of Science and Technology takes full responsibility on hosting next year’s Sportsfest.
