Centro Escolar University held a special wellness day for its faculty and non-teaching employees from its Manila, Makati, and Malolos campuses to address their physical, emotional, and mental health needs during this very challenging time via Zoom.
The activity titled, “Wellness Interlude: Self-Care Thurs-date: Ready…Set…Glow” is actually an alternative activity for the annual CEU workforce summer outing since only limited number of people are allowed to go to resorts. Even virtually, the University recognizes the importance of continued engagement within the members of the community and having a quick escape from the duties from work.
Aside from the community dance, raffle, and presentation of the Video Tiktok entries of the 10 teams, the program’s main activity is the self-care session with Ms. Janelle Villamor, Tourism Program Head. Her discussion and demo focused on Lymphatic Drainage Facial Massage, Face Yoga, The Power of Positive Affirmation, and Basic Laughter Yoga.
The raffle prizes were self-care kits and packages. CEU President Dr. Ma. Cristina D. Padolina also generously gave away glass wind chimes to the winners.
Selected employees also shared their stories of resilience, faith, and victory over their personal battles encountered during the pandemic.
Through the efforts of Ms. Janelle Villamor, Overall Chair, Mr. Jerome Soralbo and Mrs. Ludwella Tambiloc, Overall Co-Chairs, with Dr, Bella Marie Fabian, Mrs. Ma. Rolina Servitillo, Dr. Olivia Limuaco, and Dr. Maria Flordeliza Anastacio as consultants, and all the members of the working committees the event was made possible.
