Centro Escolar University School of Accountancy students impressed the panel of judges with their presentation of creative and innovative marketing concepts for Karate Kid’s Marketing Campaign Competition titled “CONNECT” on February 3, 2020 at the Quality and Productive Room in CEU Manila.
Second year Accountancy students PJ Sheed Olea and Frances Sophia Bandiola who’s under the mentorship of Mr. Roy Raian Joson won the grand prize for the competition. They produced their own short video commercial and print ad design for Karate Kid’s X-Large Chicken, their newest product which comes into three variants, namely Teriyaki, Crispy and Spicy. Among the five groups who presented, Olea and Bandiola are the only ones who also scouted for an ad agency who can accommodate their ad for possible placement in LRT stations.
The marketing campaign competition aimed to provide students the experience in conceptualizing marketing strategies and enhance their skills in formulating a valuable marketing campaign of an already-existing business. Each competing team conceptualized a marketing campaign to boost the sales of the Karate Kid X-Large Chicken using any tri-media advertising campaign.
The panel of judges was composed of Dr. Rosemarie So, Dean, School of Accountancy and Management with Mr. Raymond Yap, Vice President for Café France Corp., and Mrs. Haydee Evangelista, Operations Manager of Karate Kid.
The winners received cash and gift certificates from Karate Kid.
