Centro Escolar Integrated School (CEIS) Manila showed love for and support to Original Pilipino Music (OPM) through its “EscoLocal: Tayo Muna, Pinoy Muna! Battle of the Bands 2019 Finals and Rock Back To School” held at the Northquadrangle in CEU Manila.
Out of five finalists, the band NBA 2.0 was hailed champion for this year’s Battle of the Bands with their mash-up cover performance of OPM songs. The band Delicadeza placed second, followed by Red Orange on the 3rd place. All the groups showcased their vocal prowess and skills in playing musical instruments
Aside from the performances of the competing groups, some of the country’s OPM bands Better Days, Moonstar88, Imago, Gracenote, and The Vowels They Orbit leveled up the event’s hype with their hit songs. Triad, last year’s Battle of the Bands Champion also rendered a special number to the Escolarian crowd.
The event was made possible through the efforts of the CEIS Student Council Manila under the supervision of Mr. Roland Ordañez, CEIS Manila Assistant Principal.
