Centro Escolar University School of Optometry joined the nationwide celebration of the Sight Saving month last August 30-31, 2017 at CEU Manila.
With the theme, “Creative and Reflective Thinkers: Making Vision and Eye Care Accessible to CEU Community,” the two-day event started with a short program at the Student Activity Center.
The Optometry students also showcased their ingenuity and creativity through an exhibit. One of the booths was inspired by popular TV series Game of Thrones which featured the different fields of Optometry, and the other one was named “James Bond Through the Looking Glass” from the original movie “Alice Through the Looking Glass.” The last booth was made like a movie theater which offered free film viewing for the students.
They also conducted a Vision and Eye Care Seminar to update students on current developments in eye care and industry products. They also provided Vision Screening Service to the CEU community on the same day.
A thanksgiving mass was celebrated by Fr. Maximilian Mapilisan, OSB, and it became an opportunity to recognize the school’s faculty, staff, parents, relatives, and friends who have been a part of the successful preparation of Optometry graduates in the recent licensure examination.
