Centro Escolar University Holds Lecture Forum on Federalism

To discuss about a very relevant issue the Philippines is facing today, Centro Escolar University conducted a Lecture Forum on Federalism last August 20, 2016 at the CEU Librada Avelino Auditorium.

The forum intended to promote understanding of the federal form of government and clarify issues on the proposal to shift from presidential to federal form of government. Students from the different Schools in the campus participated in the event.

Mr. Lito Lorenzana, President and Chief Executive Officer of Centrist Democracy Political Institute (CDPI) talked about the concept of federalism, its advantages and proposed structure for the Philippines.

Atty. Rita Linda Jimeno, Associate Dean of CEU’s School of Law and Jurisprudence also served as speaker as she tackled the present circumstances and reasons which warrant the need to shift to a federal form of government.

This is an initiative of the Student Affairs Office in coordination with the Social Sciences Society, University Student Council, University campus organizations and College and Student Councils.
