Centro Escolar University Conservatory of Music students Jeraldine Gorospe and Vincent Lloyd Naje were among the nine scholarship grantees who qualified to attend the online training during the “The 6th Symposium on Church Choral Music” which was organized by the Bandung Choral Society in Bandung, Indonesia on June 26-30, 2021.
Jeraldine and Vincent both received a mark of 1.0 in their recent choral conducting level under the tutelage of Dr. Maria Theresa Vizconde Roldan which made them qualified for a full scholarship to participate in the mentioned training.
With choir experts and great conductors of the best known choirs leading the seminars and workshops, the five-day symposium aimed to increase knowledge and expertise of the trainees through educational programs for singers and conductors through seminars, workshops and various other interesting activities; share ideas and experiences regarding educational activities and the development of the Choir Community in various places; increase knowledge and expertise in Choir music through online media in the COVID19 pandemic situation; build a strong spirituality in the Church Choir singing tradition; and build cooperation and develop networking between choirs in Indonesia and the world.
