This program is designed as a graduate-level degree program that offers a competency-based curriculum, integrating didactic coursework and experiential learning opportunities in the field of food and nutrition. The core of this program covers advanced courses in research methods and statistics, human and life cycle nutrition, nutrition education, nutritional assessment, and medical nutrition therapy. Also included are advanced food service management and nutrition program planning and management.
For a hands-on experience, there are required graduate seminar presentations, an 80-hour community and facility immersion, and supervised research development. The final stages of this program involve a comprehensive examination and a defense presentation of an original Master’s thesis, which is a crucial component of the graduate degree.
The program is granted with the Highest Level of Accreditation, Level IV, by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA) as certified by the Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP).
