Welcome

The College of Medical Technology, established in 1960, was the first of its kind in the country. Molding medical technologists with intensive and updated training from seasoned practitioners, the college's program is enhanced with the most modern laboratory equipment and resources.

 

The CEU College of Medical Technology trains students in the performance of laboratory test procedures and analyses used in the diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of disease, and the maintenance of health. The program focuses on the use of modern equipment and performance of scientific techniques in the administration of the full spectrum of Medical Technology services required in modern health care. At the end of the four-year course, students demonstrate competencies in scientific research, methods and processes having acquired skills in instrumentation, laboratory diagnosis, methodology, and life-saving procedures, as well as manifest wholesome values and attitude to be able to contribute to the over-all social, mental, physical, health and environmental concerns of the comminuty of the country and of the world.

 

 

 

Mission/Vision Statement

 

The CEU College of Medical Technology aims to provide the world with Medical Technologists who are scientifically and technologically competent to deliver the full spectrum of Medical Technology services required in modern health care. The students are so trained that at the end of the four-year course, they are expected to:

 

Demonstrate competencies in scientific research, methods and processes;

Have acquired skills of international standard in instrumentation laboratory diagnostic methodology and life-saving procedures;

 

Manifest wholesome values and attitude to be able to contribute to the over-all social, mental, physical, health and environment concerns of the community, of the country, and of the world.

  • PACUCOA Accredited Level III
  • Accredited as training clinical laboratory classified Category III by the Bureau of Health Facilities and Services.
  • Accredited hospital affiliations
  • Complete laboratory facilities with acquition of the latest pieces of equipment for Clinical Chemistry, Drug Testing, HIV and Hepatitis Screening, etc.
  • Clinical Laboratory Practice (CLP) incorporated in the Laboratory Management portion of the subject Medical Technology Laws and Ethics where students take rigid oral, written, and practical examinations.
  • Lectures trained in countries like Canada and the USA and members of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, PASMETH, PAMET, PSM.
  • Integration of Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) course, Pharmacology, Cytology, Medical Transcription and Genetics in the curriculum.
