Scholarships, Grants and Other Forms of Financial Assistance

Basic Qualification for Scholarship Applicants

All undergraduate scholarships are open to graduates of any public and private high schools in the Philippines who will fulfill the following university scholarship qualifications.

The applicant must:

1. not more than 23 years of age;
2. be a citizen of the Philippines;
3. have been interviewed by the Dean or representative;
4. be in good health;
5. have a scholastic record which shows ranking in the upper 25% of the class;
6. possesses good moral character; and
7. possesses leadership qualities


I. Upgraded Scholarship Program for Excellent Performance

A. Scholarship for Other High School Honor Graduates

(Open to applicants for both board and non-board courses)

One year full or partial discount on tuition and miscellaneous fees according to the following schedule:

Valedictorian- full exemption
Salutatorian- 90% discount
First Honorable Mention- 80% discount
Second Honorable Mention- 60% discount
Third Honorable Mention- 50% discount

II. University Scholarships

1. Full Scholarship - 100% discount on tuition and miscellaneous for students who carry a full load (not less than 15 units) and who obtain a weighted average of 1.3 or higher.
2. Partial Scholarship - 50% discount on tuition and miscellaneous for students who carry a full load (not less than 15 units and who obtain a weighted average that falls within 1.31 and 1.50.


Award of scholarship shall be on the basis of the general average of the first and second semesters of the previous school year.

III. University Educational Assistance Programs

1. RA 6728 - 50% discount on tuition fee for 1st year only
2. Permanent faculty and non-teaching employees - Free tuition and miscellaneous fees.
3. Children of faculty and regular non-teaching employees - 100% tuition and miscellaneous fees, not exceeding four (4) children in any one (1) school year (25 years and below); married children are not entitled.
4. Nephews and nieces of unmarried permanent employees are entitled to discount on tuition fees. (For a maximum of two (2) nieces/nephews).
5. Alumni and their children - 5% discount on tuition.


Collegiate Academic Honors


1. Summa Cum Laude - weighted average of 1.20 or higher with no grade lower than 1.75 in any subjects, and with no failing grade in any NSTP (ROTC) subject provided that all units are earned in CEU.
2. Magna Cum Laude - weighted average of 1.21-1.35 with no grade lower than 2.25 in any subjects, and with no failing grade in any NSTP (ROTC) subject provided that all units are earned in CEU.
3. Cum Laude - weighted average of 1.36 - 1.50 with no grade lower than 2.5 in any of the subjects, and with no failing grade in any NSTP (ROTC) subject provided that all units are earned in CEU.
