Guidance Objectives

In line with the educational philosophy of the university "Science and Virtue," the CEU Counseling and Testing Department is committed to:

The program has been designed so that guidance tests can be utilized as data gathering instruments in order to obtain a more ore less general assessment of student's aptitudes and personality.

Counselors in charge of testing administers various tests in order to establish the general profile of students. Tests are also administered as bases for proper placement as well as for group and individual counseling.

• Program Activities for Chemical Dependency - students having chemical dependency can freely air their concerns in an atmosphere of accepting and non threatening environment.
• Peer Counseling and Facilitating Program - it serves as the link between students and the counselors. Students belonging to this group are trained in understanding themselves better
• Family Support Group - assists students from dysfunctional families' cope with the problems brought about by parent's separation due to marital conflicts, work, illness, death etc. Provides students with a "growth promoting climate" based on genuineness, acceptance, and empathy thus develop a more caring attitude towards themselves and others
